Kavita Ramchandran is an illustrator and graphic designer based in New York City.
After working as a graphic designer in the children's educational market for over
4 years (Bill Smith Studio), and art directing an award-winning children’s literary magazine
(Kahani magazine), she decided that illustration and story-telling for kids was her true calling.
Kavita is also the creator/director of Maya, a Nick Jr. original preschool animated short series that's been screened at film festivals worldwide.
Originally from Bombay; India, Ms. Ramchandran has an M.F.A. in Design from the School of Visual Arts in New York, a post baccalaureate in Advertising Design from San Francisco's Academy of Art, and a B.A. from Sydenham College of Commerce and Economics in Mumbai. |
